We have created this blog so our dear friends and family can follow along on this amazing journey we have begun to bring home our baby girl from Ethiopia. We have been truly blessed by an amzing God and we know we want to share this with the world! Can you tell, I am ecstatic??? Jumping for joy every chance I get. For those of you who know our family, a lot of this will be "old" news, but for our new friends, we hope you will enjoy getting to know us.
Let us introduce ourselves:
Mom, Stacey, first and foremost a child of God, wife to my incredible husband Mat and mom to 4 wonderful boys...excitedly waiting to be a mom to Gracie! She is already deep within my heart!(Can you believe how blessed I am to stay at home with my children and take care of this crazy household?)
Dad, Mat, a magnificent son of God, husband to me (lucky guy!!!! LOL!), and dad to 4 wonderful son's. (Oh, he also has the greatest job in the world, he is a firefighter/paramedic. Every young boys dream, right?) Now you know I am excited, but you should see how much this man is loving PINK!!!!
Zach, oldest, 13, computer whiz and smart as the day is long! He is a lover of reading, CSI, youth group and really can fix anything electronic.
Justin, second oldest, 12, in love with athletics and Jesus, a huge help around the house. He definitely loves to cook and will even change diapers!
Cameron, not the "baby" anymore, 8, adores his older brothers and LOVES being an older brother. He loves football, baseball and basketball. He has an "old" soul and keeps us laughing. He always tends to say the cutest things.
Tyler, the youngest so far, 15 months, and thinks he should be at least 5! He CRACKS us up and consistently puts smiles on everyone's faces even if we've had a bad day. He loves EVERYONE and loves to read.

- We are a Christ loving family of 6, getting very excited to be a family of 7, by bringing home our baby girl from Ethiopia! God has laid it upon our hearts and has a plan for us. We cannot wait! HE is absolutely amazing!
Timeline to GOTCHA DAY!
11/07-5/08, Started talking about adoption. Began research, attended seminars,- chose Ethiopia and agency.
5/11/08-Mother's Day surprise-"Let's send in our application tomorrow!"
5/12/08-Sent in application online, check via mail.
5/13/08-Contacted by IAN, we have been approved!!!!(Happy Birthday to my mom).
5/14/08-Hubby's physical.(Needed for work too! Happy Birthday Lori!)
5/15/08-Contacted by social worker, set up first homestudy visit. Paperwork has begun!
5/20/08-Hubby gets fingerprints done!
5/21/08-I get fingerprinted and take them to CBI to begin background check.
5/23/08-Social worker comes to visit! (Stays for 3 hours. It was so much more relaxed than I thought.)
6/2/08-Background is back.
6/5/08- My physical and bloodwork.
6/5/08-Second homestudy visit. We still are missing some paperwork that needs to be collected by June 18.
6/18/08-Third homestudy visit! Our SW will have it done next week
6/19/08-All kids medicals done for homestudy-sent to SW
6/20/08-Most paperwork collected for dossier-only waiting on a few things! Wow, can hardly believe it.
7/21/08-Dossier finished and turned in;homestudy complete!
7/22/08-I600A dropped off at immigration in Denver.
7/28/08-Dossier received in Washington D.C. at 8:58 a.m. to be authenticated=)
8/1/08-Dossier has now left Germany and should get to Ethiopia on Monday!!!!!! Blessed are we! Thank you Jesus!
8/15/08-Received our 171-H today!!!! Hallelujah!
12/13/08-Got the news that we are officially #1 on the baby girl waiting list! Getting closer=)
1/16/09-Referral Day! 4 mos. old baby girl. Praise God.
2/13/09-Court date announced-April 29, 2009 =)
3/21/09-Court date moved up-April 16, 2009!!!!
4/16/2009-Passed Court, bring on the embassy date!
4/22/2009-Received the call, embassy date is May 6th =)
5/1/2009-Leave for Ethiopia

How exciting for your family! We adopted our daughter from Guatemala and brought her home in Oct. She and my son share the same birthday... isn't God awesome!!
